Binky and Scamper Tee Shirt (PLAY)

This is a drawing that Steve Crandall did one day when he was visiting the PLAY house in Winston-Salem in 1997. It portrays my two cats, Binky and Scamper, the best cats in the whole world. Crandall captioned it “Binky and Scamper are nice cats”. I got Binky and Scamper when they were kittens. I was told by their previous owner that Binky fell into a toilet when she was very small (not sure how that’s possible) and that was the inspiration for Binky appearing in a toilet. Scamper is breaking a bottle over his head just because he is so damn cool. Seeing this shirt is bittersweet for me now because Binky died last year at age 16 but Scamper is still here with me. In fact he’s sitting on my lap right now. Scamper also appeared on a series of PLAY contest tee shirts alongside Leigh’s rat Honky. (see Honky’s Revenge)  Here is a recent pic of Scamper today at age 17 attending the very first official oldscool BMX meeting in my back yard this January.
