Tossed Salad was the name of a jumping contest series that Steve and I ran, sponsored by 2B. Our original Tossed Salad tee was a bit simpler and this was the newer version that followed. It still features the same image of Mike Forney jumping out of the bowl in Landsdowne. Many thanks
This was just one of many promo shirts we made that featured a picture of my cat Scamper. We made this shirt for the PLAY/Kink contest held at Scrap in Hoffman Estates, IL April 26-27 1997. The artwork by Mike Noonan features Scamper catching a paper ball, which is one of his favorite
The Torn design was one of my favorite logo shirts I did. It had a little punk rock feel to it. This was done on a Black or Grey shirt. This particular one is Hal’s personal shirt that he still wears to this day!
Big thanks to Shawn Ross for posting a pic of his Bowling Team shirt by 2B. The artwork was done by Steve Buddendeck and portrays various members of the 2B racing team. Who’s who budman? The back had the same illustration but smaller in one color with the word TEAM beneath (see
I was more than pleasantly surprised when I saw this posted up on my Facebook. I am honored that Nick kept this. This design is one of my personal favorites.
I drew this design in January of 1997. I know because it says so on the miniature text on the triceratops’ head. There are hidden messages all over the artwork (see a closeup below) including one paragraph that says the first person to send in a photo of themselves wearing this
This was the Play pro model tee we made for Todd Lyons in 1996. It says “I’m not a fighter. I just get into predicaments.” The artwork was drawn by Chris Hargrave and shows a muscle-head wearing a No Fear shirt lifting Todd into the air.
Leigh Ramsdell had three pro model tees with PLAY Clothes (the others were Ralph and Swiss Army Ant). This one from 1995 featured one of Leigh’s drawings of a guy sitting on the toilet. On the back was another Leigh doodle of a bag of groceries. In the catalog photo below, Leif
This was one of Leigh’s three pro model tees with PLAY Clothes (others were Ralph and Toilet). It featured one of Leigh’s drawings that he called a Swiss Army Ant.
This tee was just a huge 2B logo with some paisley design under it. That’s why we called it the Billboard. Available in 1992. Design by Steve Buddendeck.
