Inspired by the NASCAR-crazed culture of Winston-Salem, NC, the Stock Car tee shirt design was released around 1994 in the later years of 2B Homecooked. Hal and Steve had recently moved to Winston-Salem and made this shirt in honor of the local yokels. The design was printed in black
Soul Kitchen was the name of the contest series created by Hal Brindley and Steve Buddendeck of 2B Homecooked Garments. The first Soul Kitchen tee shirt design was released in 1990. The later version, shown here, was named the Bandawagon and was released around 1992. On the front it s
Sometimes referred to as simply the “Loaf”, the Meatloaf tee shirt was produced in the later years of 2B Homecooked Garments (around 1993). It featured an illustration by Steve Buddendeck of a steaming meatloaf on a plate with a glass of milk. Meatloaf was Hal’s favo
I’m pretty sure this design was created to put on racing jerseys and ended up on a couple tee shirts. Maybe I’m the only person who owns one. The regular fork logo was much smaller and was printed in one color. This design was released around 93 and featured the fork logo

The 2B Fashion Model Tee shirt had the fashion model logo printed on both the front and the back. It was a pretty blatant advertisement that was originally designed for team riders. Artwork by Steve Buddendeck.
The 2B Homecooked Garments Circle Logo tee was released around 1994. It was printed in black and white on a red tee. I remember the logo was kinda huge and it had a ton of ink in it.
The Beater tee shirt features artwork by Steve Buddendeck and was released around 1993. The artwork depicts a blender, which seems to go nicely with the Homecooked theme, but the name “Beater” was more of a subtle masturbation joke. (The jokes got a little less subtle in t
The 2B Banner Logo was one of the earliest 2B designs and remained in production throughout 2B’s five year run. It featured a large purple logo wrapped around the side of an olive green tee shirt. Logo designed by Steve Buddendeck.
The Angst Ridden tee shirt featured artwork by me and was somewhat auto-biographical as the rider depicted has no seat (I was riding seatless at the time) and the “since 1970” refers to my birth year. It was only available on black. -Hal B
The Funky Albino (aka Mike Noonan) submitted this pic of himself wearing one of the very first 2B Homecooked designs: The Monster. Released around 1990. It was only available on black and was designed by a fellow zine maker named Fetus. (His real name is Patrick Richardson.) The back
